The program gives staff the opportunity to give back to their communities, and broaden their governance knowledge and networks, while boards benefit from the time, talent and networks of the PwC staff. In just two years of operation, the program has achieved outstanding diversity outcomes, doubling the number of female partners and staff securing board appointments.
According to the program’s head, Jane Edwards, the program’s success comes down to the time invested in building stakeholder relationships and understanding the needs of both staff and the NFPs. “Finding a board or advisory position is not simply transactional, it is a highly personal experience,” Jane said.
